Popular Peptide Comparisons
BPC-157 vs TB-500
BPC-157 is a 15-amino-acid fragment of a gastric protein; TB-500 is a 7-amino-acid fragment of thymosin beta-4. Both are studied in preclinical tissue-repair models, both lack meaningful human trial data, and both are prohibited by WADA (S0 and S2 respectively). They are often researched together, which is why a combined blend exists.
Selank vs Semax
Both are 7-amino-acid peptides developed in Russia and stabilized with a Pro-Gly-Pro tail. Selank is based on tuftsin, an immune peptide; Semax is based on a fragment of ACTH. Neither is authorized in Canada, and most published research on both comes from Russian institutions.
Peptide Comparison FAQs
Are peptides banned in sport?
Several are. The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) prohibits BPC-157 (S0), TB-500 and thymosin beta-4 derivatives (S2), and growth hormone secretagogues such as CJC-1295 and ipamorelin (S2). Tested athletes should check the current WADA list.
What's the difference between HPLC and mass spectrometry?
HPLC measures purity — how much of the sample is the target peptide versus impurities. Mass spectrometry confirms identity — that the molecule has the right molecular weight. You need both to trust a peptide.
